I am a freelance writer and digital content strategist with a passion for telling stories and helping publishers and brands engage with audiences. I also ask a lot of questions.
As a writer and editor the questions help me tell stories—of two young women building a successful seed-to-cup coffee business or of chefs across the eastern United States cooking up a venomous fish in the fight against an invasive species or how the most engaged public library users tend to be incredibly tech savvy.
As a digital and social media strategist I ask questions based on observations. I’m the person that always asks what if we do this? I’m always looking for a way to make the project I’m working on better and I enjoy working with brands willing to experiment.
My work has appeared in Martha Stewart Living, Edible, DNAinfo, La Cucina Italiana, Condé Nast Traveler, The Huffington Post, The Latin Kitchen and VICE among others. I’ve also created and managed digital content and social media strategy for PBS NewsHour, Long Island Pulse Magazine, AOL and other many medium and small-sized brands. I have a master’s degree in online media from Quinnipiac University and a bachelor’s degree in political science from George Washington University.
When not editing, reporting or tweeting, you will often find me exploring new places through their food markets, dreaming about the beach and attempting to wrangle my golden retriever into proper behavior.
