Bree Shirvell is a Connecticut based multimedia journalist reporting on local politics, travel, food and environmental issues. She has written articles for national magazines and newspapers, including La Cucina Italiana, OZOlife, The Green Fork, t&T News, and Condé Nast Traveler’s The Daily Traveler.

Bree holds a B.A. in Political Science from The George Washington University. While in Washington, DC she worked in both the US House of Representatives  and Senate, and for the League of Conversation Voters. Bree also spent a semester in Rome, Italy where she studied the interaction between the European Press and European Politics.

After GWU she spent a year in Manhattan freelancing for national print and online magazines and newspapers.

Bree is currently pursuing a masters of science degree in Journalism from Quinnipiac University‘s McMahon Communications Center, while working as a contributing reporter for AOL’s Rye Patch.
