Southampton-1There is something about Southampton that sparks both nostalgia and inspiration. This summer the historic town has a summer calendar that is bursting at the seams. So, plan to get up early and spend a day in the bustling town.

DSC01720-1Start the day early with a class at Southampton Pure Barre. You want to get your fitness out of the way, right. The studio, just recently opened and with classes that are just 55 minutes long full of pumping music it’s the perfect wake up not to mention way to tone your body for the beach.

Next up is breakfast. Head to the Golden Pear and snag a seat to order an array of pastries, bagels, sandwiches and of course coffee. Or grab something to go and steal a seat at one of the many benches that line Southampton’s main street.

Now it’s time for window-shopping. The town is just starting to wake up so stroll through Main Street, down Jobs Lane and splits down both Hill Street and Windmill Lane making a mental note of the places you want to head to.

While you’re waiting for the stores to open up wander over to the Southampton Art Center.

Now, head back to all those stores maybe picking up some jewelry.

Or things for the home at Erika’s Place II.

Or a new beach outfit.

You could easily spend the entire day in town but don’t forget to leave time for the beach. Jump on a Hamptons Free Ride to soak in the sun.
